Kitchen Ceiling Update

One being to tear down the ceiling in the kitchen (down to the studs). 
Well, we finally finished it. Check it out...

as you can see we are now ready for the electrician.

This had to be cleared out of the way for the electrician.

old drywall, lathe, plaster, and more 

Underneath that piece of drywall and lathe to the right, next to the chimney, there were 3 birds nests.
The nests were made from local 1920s newspapers written in German/ Deutch.
In case you are wondering, how do I know they were bird nests?
The skeletons had beaks and the arms looked like chicken wings. 


Obviously a very dirty job, and I am currently power cleaning our entire house. Fun times.
